On the day I was born
Death was present
And life was present
As I slid into this cruel word
They labored tirelessly for me
To gift me with what only they could give
But Life won
By the breath of a hair

Yes
By the breath of a hair

Air too was present
But his royalty was divided
For death promised him
The power to become a mighty tornado
And life promised to make him a gentle breeze
That brought life and carried inspiration

There I was motionless
Dear to this world
Waiting upon life
Eager to experience my mortal shell

Air loved the promises of death
But if he allowed death privilege
He would have been forced
To bear the burden of carrying
A spirit back to the creator

And so he obliged life
And glided into my small lungs
Inflated them with the essence of life
The very breath God blew into Adam
And as the doctor whipped my bottom
I cried for joy
And my parents wept for joy

And the creator watched from above
And was happy with what he saw
And he made Air a gentle breeze
To carry news of the birth of a star
And a tornado to go before him
Announcing his presence

So you see on the day I was born
Death lost
And God was exalted
