IF U BUY FROM EBAY, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE BIOS PASSWORD AND ALL OTHER PASSWORDS.my bro got a "brand new" Dell laptop. its infrared, and bluetooth are disabled. we went into the bios and found it had been passworded by the previous owner. so we couldn't change anything. i didn't feel up to fiddling with the EEPROM, and it appears disconnecting the CMOS won't work anymore,

Plus- take it from me-don't buy 2nd hand if it is not direct from yankee/uk. EVERYBODY i know that bought a 2nd hand laptop locally regretted it.the components start failing one after another, and of course , your seller will then tell you that 'this costs this much, that costs, and b4 u know it u have forked over more than you paid initially.
