Letter From Michael Berkowitz, President 100 Resilient Cities by Orikinla(m): 8:25pm On Jun 15, 2016
We've reached 100 cities, but our work is just beginning.

We will continue to provide deep support to our member cities as they develop and implement Resilience Strategies. But our impact won't be limited to 100 cities. We will scale solutions, innovations, and ideas to cities far and wide — enabling 10,000 cities to benefit from the resilience revolution.

How can you get involved? We want to hear about the top challenges your city is facing. We'll continue to share the lessons learned and knowledge gathered from our Network.

Which challenges are you addressing in your city right now? Which are the most pressing for your city in 2016 and into the future? Tell us here.

We'll report back on the top urban challenges you submit, and share innovative solutions that are already being implemented in cities around the world.

Our goal is for all cities to enjoy the immense benefits of knowledge sharing. Tell us what you're working on so we can help spread the most valuable insights and solutions:

Don't delay.

President, 100 Resilient Cities
@Berkmic

PS: The letter was addressed to Ekenyerengozi Michael Chima who has just produced and directed his "Sights and Sounds of Lagos" tourist documentary film to mark the Golden Jubilee of Lagos State.

Lagos is one of new members of 100 Resilient Cities In The World.

Lagos with a population of more 20 million people is Africa's largest megacity and is now threatened by over population caused by the daily influx of thousands of people from other states in Nigeria and neighbouring countries.

The urban congestion has created housing crisis for the state, because millions of homeless squatters have created several slums in Lagos with dangerous health hazards and socioeconomic crises for the Lagos state government. Many of the homeless squatters are jobless.
