Governor Muhammad Abdullahi Abubakar yesterday through his Commissioner for Water Resources, Muhammad Ghali Abdulhameed flagged off the project of the construction of motorised and hand pump boreholes in 12 Local Governments of the state. This is in addition to the already ongoing similar projects in 8 Local Governments which is a collaboration between the Bauchi State Government, UNICEF and WATER AID.

This is in line with His Excellency's effort to bring an end to the lingering water supply problems in the state. The project will commence immediately in Bauchi (Bauchi South), Misau (Bauchi Central) and Katagum (Bauchi North) Local Government Areas where 15 boreholes will be constructed in each of the LGs. This is expected to be completed within few weeks from now and the remaining 9 LGs to be completed within 4 months.
