The looted monies are the evidence, and the cases are going to remain in court for as long as the presiding judges see fit, possibly through the period of appeal. And if by any chance a judge finds any of them innocent the government has to give them back the money, that is the beauty of democracy, everyone is innocent until proven guilty.

If that is the case the federal government wouldn't have stated the specific amount recovered

Many of the cases are still in court, you cannot just share evidence before securing conviction. Some Nigerians act like they have never been to school, smh.
