Reports reaching me from reliable correspondence at the embassy dis evening around 7pm says the US visa fee has increased from #31,520 to #48,000.
Yet to be confirmed tho.
Pls post when u get confirmation aswell.

I jus looked up the fee at the American Embassy Nigeria Web site. Price is still same for Tourist Visa. $160 or N31520.

Yeah, it's true. De changed d new dollar rate to 300 to $1, so visa fee is now 48,000 for now, as d dollar shakes, d US embassy will change also but b sure to know, it won't go below 48,000 for anoda 6months

I'm preparing for interview and I was drafting ties that hold me to my country and I draft something like this
My family resides in Nigeria and my church family. My goal is to visit the US and return. I previously sponsored Ms.kathleen from the United States to visit Nigeria and she is sponsoring me for 14-21 days. My degree is in Micriobiology but my true passion is teaching the youth. I recently embarked upon a teaching position working under the umbrella of Dr. Mohammed in Ilorin Nigeria and the youth desperately want to know about the world we live in outside of Nigeria. However, I can not inform them of cultural diversity of different cultures because I have not traveled outside of Nigeria. Therefore, my goal is to tour the US for touring and learning purposes only.
