dont mean to be a bore but this is like taking your lexus 2012 model to a road side mechanic. why do do u want to mess around with the internal dynamics of your body withoutt seeing a physician. there is a reason why OTC drugs advises you to see your doctor if symptoms persist for more than 2 days. be smart see a doctor and get an individualised prescription for yourself. people who develop certain cancers tend to have a history of unprescribed use of certain drugs.

Mrskem09, the hospital i am using presently is Garkuwa specialist, it is in kaduna where i live. But is not about the hospital is about consultant gyne that i was refered. Btw us i visted more than 7 hospital before they cloud detect that my prolactin levels were high. It took me like 13months to find the right doctor to prescribe the right drug for that condition. He just suggested it but i have not asked for how much it will cost. Btw us we not yet recover financially from the last Dr "s vist. My dear sister if i may ask have cover all the basic medical test for u and Dh.

Told him I want injectables but he insist on doing tabs before considering injectables. I visit another hospital that also want to do clomid rounds before considering injectables. Refusing to listen to my past medication. Have done all test. Named: HSg, Sono-HSg, hormonal profile,Lipid test, hvs,countless pelvi scan. Hubby had done his Semen profile. Had high prolactin and Low progestrone. So I don't ovulate. Drug used perlodel,rounds of clomid,vitex, soy. Metformin Countless multivitamins.

God help me. Now am financial down, so am considering affordable injectables procedure from a gyneA

@Mrs kem09, did u say hi prolactin? Parlodel in most case is not enough to bring high prolactin down believe me i took about six bottles, i did about 6clomind cycles. While my bosom was bringing out milk the Drs were busy giving me clomind. Until i took some herbs which reduce the breast milk, but the milk did not dry up, until my recent consult with gyne. He gave me a presicribaton which i took immediately after the frist tab the whole dired up. Refer to page 100 to see the name u can ask ur Dr about it.

@mrs.kem09, Sorry for the AF. Injectable cycle is not that cheap,if you are slow responder it will run into 50,000 Naira.

There are 2 brands of injectibles that is available here both contains LH&FSH.

Menopur- 1 single apple,75iu= 4500 Naira
Menogon- 1 single apple,75iu= 2700 Naira.

Both work in the same way,just difference in brand. You might need up to 10 to 20 apples depending on how you respond to the injections when u are monitored. So you can do your mathematics from there. And you have to be fully monitored with TVS.

Then the HCG(Pregnyl),10000iu that will help trigger your ovulation= 5000 Naira. You will most likely ovulate within 36hr-48hrs after taking this HCG. This HCG also helps patience that don't ovulate on their own.

LH 0.9 mIU/ml (0.2 - 2.2)
FSH 0.5 mIU/ml (0.2 - 2.2)
Prolactin 0.9 mIU/l (0.7 - 7.5)
Progesterone 6.2 nmol/l (0.8 - 8.7)

Yah, I won’t say I did anything new but it was just God in action, but I will state the following:

I was treated for infection with antibiotics with my hubby even though when I google, I discovered that particular infectn doesn’t cause infertility, but I kept on praying and told some people to pray along with me.. I was to go for further test when I got a positive result.

We did half income in my church in June, my hubby and myself was faithful to it and we told God we don’t want to give to his work and at the same time pay for series of lab test.
It is just God that answered my prayers and I pray that as many that believe in him on this forum, he would surely answer you all. Amen.

@ ceemlon, your wife's FSH level is so low, you want it to be between 6-9 for optimum.

good thing is the LH and FSH ratio is about 1:1

Your wife need to check her Estradiol level, this might be really high masking the FSH level.

(2). Possible i hv concieved again and still very early for d scan to pick it. I told him it seems I ovulated on 17th or 18th. (Meaning today is 5or6DPO)

To come back in 4 wks time for further and conclusive investigation and will run a quantitative blood test by then if d result remains inconclusive.

I have never for once missed my period in my entire cycle only varying dates between 24 - 28 days. With your ideas with TTC, just let me know what this results could mean.

@Udoka be encouraged, try to encourage yourself with the word of God. Did you dr check your beta HCG levels? beta hcg levels are monitored via blood test and in early pregnancy the beta levels should double every 48hrs. that is what my dr did when the scan results showed nothing and the hpt was still Positive. I hope Dr asked you to continue taking your progestron.

I used it religiously then and low and behold came the side effects that became a little severe later. It started with mild headaches that refuse to leave throughout the day, then I stopped going to the toilet for more than 7 days I will be eating and no loo, I felt so heavy and uneasy with myself then came the last one that made me stop, my heartbeats started missing , I had no option but stop and I was really frustrated then, such that going to another doctor was the last thing I wanted to do. Until now I refused doing anything but pray and I did not discuss with anyone except DH. That had been the ordeal, the only thing is just that when I start with a new gynea in August God's willing, I will make him understand the effect ave been going through.

I believe your Dr prescribed Palodel for the Prolactin, it is the most common prescription and it works for reducing the prolactin levels and also alot of peopl have complained about the side effects. Am sure if you had discussed the side effects with your Dr. he may have asked you to try another brand of the drug or adviced you to use it at night and with food or glass of milk to reduce the side effects. I am sure your new dr will redo the blood tests and depending on results...

my advice as you go to this new doctor is that you should not be afraid to ask for copies of your bloodwork and also don't be afraid to ask questions about why he is prescribing a drug or even asking the dr to give you a better understanding of the Lab results. i used to be scared to ask doctors questions, but i realized that i was paying for a service and i should get the best for my hard earned dollars...

@ Beetle....I'm nt sure o,but dnt you tink ceemelon's lab used a different parameter? Coz d normal they put in bracket is diff from the normal result analysis i have seen.

I will check those pages right now, the name is Bromergon 2.5mg (just checked the bottle). I will do my best to be fit and healthy and I will always log in here to catch up on experiences and testimonies too. It shall be well, if I never had those skipped heartbeats, those other effects would not have been a major problem to me anyways. I also know the medication was for the high prolactin too.

What only baffles me is that I had never missed my period since I started flowing at 12, so I cannot say I have PCOS (Though am trying to loose a few pounds).
I also had episodes of heavy and long periods since 2010 (it was after a series of clomid) so late last year I started using anion sanitary pads and it had helped a lot beyond its cost. The periods were regulated to 5 days max and not too heavy for comfort.

The se.men analysis does not seem to have enough detail, I would expect more numbers and parameters.
However assuming that : volume=3million represents a sper.m count of 3million per cc, then it is an extremely low count (on face value)n - Average should be around 30million/cc

However do not be discouraged, conception may still be possible, sperm counts could vary from one count to the next and could be improved.

Hello Fruitful women and men, this journey of ttc will end this year for each and everyone of us in Jesus name. @Adetunrayo, my colleague actually mentioned to me about her infection and you again. my colleague said she was going all around hospitals with different gyn giving her defferent medications, all for her to go to one hospital she mentioned to me (which i done run go there now, and on geting there i discovered they are specialist in paediatric and anything gyn), she was treated of infection and within two weeks of using the drugs she got preggy, she dont believe it as she had to wait for another one month (already 8 weeks then) before going for test.

Now she has her baby, we got married the same year. i think we should specially ask our gyn to test us of infections should in case, instead of some of them going arround with us in a bid to get cash. I remember how one gop my over 20k without any test yet, i run, those drugs are still at home self.

@ Aladunni, to check a woman's fertility, it needs to be done between days 1-3. Day 21 is to check that you've ovulated so I cant really say much apart from your progesterone level. It's too low and might be that you ovulate really late. Day 21 is not really ideal to check that you've ovulated as well. You need to test for ovulation using OPK, as soon as you've seen the smiley face or two lines, you wait to test 7 days after regardless of what day in the cycle you're. I hope that helps. Actually your LH is showing a surge but don't know why your progesterone level is low. For normal conception, you might benefit from PIO (Progesterone in oil injections) because this goes straight to your blood stream as opposed to progesterone vaginally suppositories.

@Zenoj, LH is more that FSH, it needs to be lower and the ratio almost 1:1, FSH of 10 is ok for conception and really you want your LH to be under 7. Are you under a lot of stress? Besides that I'm thinking PCOS because your LH is higher than FSH. Prolactin is slightly high as well need be 24 or below.

@ Ebony, the unit is same one used in the UK so don't understand why the lab are using different parameter to guage their normal level i.e. mIU/ml

@ Udoka, i'm sorry to hear this. You need to measure your HCG next time to check this doubling. You need to keept on checking this till it's in its 10,000 to be on the safe side as well as your progesterone level. Is your doctor for real? To come back for scan only. Did you ovulate on 17th of june or 17th of july cos i'm at loss for words!!!

@ipio, your DH's sperm is low but give him a pat on the back for his motility which shows it's swimming. Motility needs to e over 40% or 50% but your report doesn't give the morphology rate, this shows the percentage that is abnormal i.e. defective head.
