All the big churches in Nigeria all have landed properties worth billions of Naira.
They are established and things are moving Materially,financially, administratively and physically.
However,what looks like a deep source of concern to is if such forms are replicated spiritually!!
Are we told that we would inherit the world? Or we would inherit the Kingdom of Heaven?
Many ministers have worked till the reapstage and thats how spiritually they started their descent into a state of Apocalypse and Heresy.
Some who began well have now began to get rich financially and materially thereby loosing spiritual fervour,strength,consistency and the true word of God.
Many things have taken the crown of faith from most heads of these Ministers!!
Some of such things are Church growth,church programmes,Breakthrouh,seminars,BIBLE SCHOOLS,UNIVERSITIES.Truth be told EVANGELISM CANNOT BE MIXED WITH BUSINESS!!! YOU EITHER PREACH OR YOU BREACH!!!! .THE WAYS OF GOD.
SOME OF SUCH CHRISTIANS THINK THAT MATERIAL ,FINANCIAL OR PHYSICAL SUCCESS IS A SIGN OF SPIRITUAL PROGRESSION,HENCE SPIRITUAL PRIDE SETS IN AND THEY FEEL THEY HAVE ARRIVED.
REVELATION 3:17-18 SPEAKS OF SUCH SPIRITUAL CALAMITIES.
17:BECAUSE YOU SAY ''IAM RICH,HAVE BECOME WEALTHY AND HAVE NEED OF NOTHING, AND DO NOT KNOW THAT YOU ARE WRETCHED,MISREABLE,POOR,BLIND,AND NAKED!?? NOW A LOT OF CHURCHES ARE LACKING SPIRITUALLY.
They are rich physicallly, but lack spiritually.They are poor spiritually.
A true church may be poor or lack things physically,but spiritually, they are rich-Rev 2:9 -They suffered a lot of things physically,but spiritually where rich.
Back to Revelation 3:18-i counsel you to buy from me Gold refined in fire,that you may be rich;and white garments,that you may be clothed,that the shame of your unclothedness may not be revealed and anoint your eyes with eyesalve that you may see
Interpretation:Gold is the word of God and work of God.Any true work of God must be tried in fire-physically various challenges and oppositions,lack would be faced. But spiritually,the people begin to grow as they are well fed and drink the word of God.In such churches, the congregation numbers are few,may not even have a physical building,but christ rates them spiritually rich as the word of God is preached in truth and in all holiness.
In such churches, much attention is given to their spiritual needs, edification importation and perfection.There is less emphasis on material or physical prosperity ar first as the Kingdom of God and righteousness is paramount-Mt 6:33.That church is spiritually clothed with righteousness.The true word of God convicts the heart ofsinners and unrepentant ones cannot staythere. Hard sinners, sons of perdition leave such churchEsther because the word of truth is being preached there.They are now on heavan's standards.So God rates such such spiritually high than the vain glorious rating and abomination like sighting of men.
That bride of christ is spiritually alert in hearing and seeing spiritual things according to the times.
They permit and open the doors of their churches for other churches/ministers to preach,to warn ,to show them the mind of God so that they can be in tandem with God.so the word of God and it role of Instruction,reproof and admonition is totally at work in such churches,so the spirit of God moves freely,not limited by Human organisation of things.
So they are after spiritual possesions than physical /vain glorious things.
May God help the state of the church.
This type of church concentrates onheavenly messages, deliverance and all works,gifts and fruits of the spirit to manifest.
