I want to know if anyone has actually bought car from jiji. I do see some good cars on the site with unbelievable prices. I want to know peoples experience about this jiji. I don't want to believe the site contains people that are ready to take chance of hardworking Nigerians who don't have time to go around and buy whatever they need.

I bought my car at the Jiji, and it's real.

I bought a car there a year ago, everything is fine, is not deceived.

Well don't know about op and the rest but I listed my Benz on nairaland and jiji. Got more calls from Jiji and finally sold it to a doctor in Osun State. It was a converted CLK so I had to sell it cheap. Bought my present car, A Solara from someone on jiji. Got it at a good price but had to do a lot of body work.

Wanted to advertise on jiji early this year/late last year but got discouraged when I saw most of the ads were scam. I'm not sure what's obtainable now,though. Just be extra careful.

Not sure abt dt site either...saw 2005 corolla for 650k how cum

What to do? We are people who love deceive. I do not think it is the fault Jiji.

The ads are not scam. Jiji apparently has an issue when the user uploads a car but Jiji posts the wrong value. i recently posted a car for 800k and when Jiji Published, it came out as 80m.

If its all about posting wrong value, i think i won't believe that because someone listed a 2006 Mercedes Benz C230 for 1.4m when i know it can't be for that price. Well I think one has to be careful of funny awoof

Picture of what? The Benz I sold or the Solara I bought? Are you planning to track my new sweet ride and Rob me? All these newbies of yesterday coming into a thread to run their mouth. I am not here to get anyone to list of jiji. I was sharing my experience just like normal people do in a forum.
If you don't have anything meaningful to comment just leave the thread.

Some of them (Naija used) are real but then you need to consider that the car may not be as clean as advertised hence the need for physical inspection.
In my search for another car, I inspected over 7 cars and only 2 lied about the condition of the car. I ended up buying one of the 5 and haven't regretted my decision.

Please be very careful dealing with people on jiji.... most of them are scammers but only few are real. I tried buying Benz c300 on the site last year December... most of the ads that I contacted are fake. They're telling me to send 50k first so that they'll bring the car to me. I'm not a f.o.o.l.... I just forget d idea of buying online. Even nairaland is full of scammers too, I contact some fake ones too dat time. I can't buy any car online... especially from dos dat call themselves dealers.

I'm only here to feed my eyes and be current with cars, I can't trust someone I met online with my money... I prefer one on one deals.

Scammers are on every site, the best we could do for ourselves to avoid being a victim is to be extra vigilant and careful... Word of Advice - Go for physical inspection on any commodity you are buying by yourself before any form of payment! don't be too fast when inspecting a car, take your time, if you ain't skilled on that, you can go with a trusted Auto Engr, if you don't have one, your friend should have one. DON'T BE TOO FAST SO AS NOT TO FALL VICTIM.
