There's pandemonium at the moment at onitsha in electrical parts market obosi, merchants running helter skelter, locking shops, fights, noises et al.

The economic activity is halted in this arena, and presently the security are alerting people to vacate the premesis.

The reason for the chaos being that the chairman (a.k.a BenHeros) of the market imposed a heavy tax on them, aimed at reaping them off their hard earned money. Again, in this hard time, when the tax is paid, only half of the money is reflected on the receipt. Because the whole thing is fake, some hard-heartened/die hard traders refused to comply. This led to the chairman hiring adhoc thugs so as to manhandle defaulters. The clash of titans resulted to the bad state of the market.

Apart from this scenario, there has being grumble by traders before now on how they pay unnecessary levy to this dubious chairman.

2cent: Please if you wished visiting electrical market Obosi for business, is not gonna be today again because everyone is at home now.

The crisis continues today as security men blocked all the entrance to the market warding off merchants from entering. Reliable source said the directives were given by the evil chairman; Benheros.
