The same street they were buying from during campaigns. The same street they were dancing with those traders/hawkers.

It was not wrong when he patronised them before election... Reminds me of those that gave helmets to okada riders before election and turned around to ban them after election.. Good move but wrong timing, why not create an alternative for them before taking them off the streets..

Definition of HAWKING: This term means to sell goods on the street and to attract attention of people by calling out.

When Ambode was campaigning, he was walking on the street with his followers holding brooms, flags and music calling out the attention of everyone. What was that Ambode did if not hawking his political ambition?

Nor be the same vendors who sold eagerly to their fans and crowds during campaign time be this?

Why are these politicians so insensitive and disconnected from the people like this? It's true that we ought to stop child labour but what's to prove that ALL street hawkers are kids. That being said, what happens to the other street hawkers and hustlers? How do they make ends meet?

Whatever happened to providing soft landing and a framework for their survival on a sustainable basis? How does a country survive on continuously disenfranchising the weak and the poor like this?

You can have PA's & SA's on every other thing except issues that pertain to the people like this? Disconnecting people from their sources of livelihood and you wanna bring down the Crime Rate? Good luck with that!

HAWKING IS SOMETHING MAJOR IN THE WHOLE OF AFRICA DUE TO THE POVERTY LEVEL. EVEN PRESIDENTS DON'T HAVE REASONS TO BAN IT.

AMBODE BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAWK YOU'RE FAILING TO REALIZE IT'S A SOURCE OF INCOME FOR THE POOR ONE'S.

SMH! undecided
