Traders in Benin under the aegis of New Benin and Environs traders association Saturday morning at 10.30am endorsed Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu as their candidate for governorship in the September 10 2016 gubernatorial election in Edo state.

The groups that made up the traders association include the following; New Benin United traders Union, New Benin Market Traders Association, Electronics and Computer Dealers Association, New Benin Community Development Association and Bus Drivers Association.

At a massively attended event held at New Benin Market areas, the traders, under their various units pledged their support for the candidacy of the PDP candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu in the forthcoming Edo 2016 gubernatorial election.

Speaking on behalf of the traders, the traders representatives lamented that they have suffered hardship during the administration of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and the APC. They complained of lack of security for their shops, the multiple taxations and the lack of support and incentive from government.

They pledged to support Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu because, according to their leader, Comrade Oboite, they see in Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu the best alternative for progress and prosperity for Edo state.

Responding Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu thanked the traders for the surprising endorsement, noting especially that the traders sponsored the whole exercise entirely voluntarily.

He assured them that he will lead a more inclusive government and stop illegal and multiple taxation, noting that taxes are not supposed to be punishment. He pledged that his government will include the traders in deciding what taxes they would pay.

The traders sang solidarity songs and pledged to punish the APC at the polls on September 10.

After the visit that turned into a mini rally, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu led the tradersto march along along Upper Mission Road on foot, amidst cheers and solidarity songs.

The no level APC candidate called Obaseki that can not pull crowd to a rally by himself, tell him to come to Ring Road in Benin city to address the Benin traders there by him self, they will stone him with sachet water, or let Obaseki go test his popularity in UNIBEN or New Benin Market.It was this same Obaseki that as chased away from his own rally in Owan West Local Government last two months by his fellow APC members led by Barrister McDonald Obasuke who happens to be the Commissioner of Art, Culture and Tourism under the present Adam Oshiomole Government.

Even APC leaders across all the local Governments and wards in Edo State are working for Ize Iyamu, since Oshiomole imposed Obasrki on them, they want to pay him back same way APC leaders across Bayelsa State worked for the re-election of Dickson, they worked against Timpere Sylvia the APC candidate because Sylvia imposed himself as the Governorship candidate of the APC in Bayelsa.
Even ur APC National Chairman John Oyegun who is from Edo State has refused to align with Godwin Obaseki because Oshiomole imposed Obaseki on Edo State APC.
