She does not have to waste any time denying the allegations. There is no pressure on her to prove her innocence, she is already innocent BY DEFAULT. The onus is on her detractors to prove that she is the Aisha Buhari mentioned in the Halliburton indictment, by getting the relevant information from the US department of Justice. Until then, she REMAINS LEGALLY INNOCENT.

Her being the First Lady has nothing to do with it. The above statement applies to every citizen or resident in Nigeria.

As for your using Oduah as an example, the point is moot. Mrs Buhari is not obliged by any law to emulate Mrs Oduah. She is still innocent until proven guilty.

As for your assertion that she is using her 'powers' to victimize the citizens, as far as we know, she is not on the Board of Premium times, nor does she have any constitutional powers to victimize anyone. The Premium times management realised that publishing unproven allegations against a public figure could lead to legal action, and when their journalist was unable to defend his write up, he was suspended to minimize the damage. As far as Fayose is concerned, she has stated that she will resort to legal means, she is exercising her rights as a citizen, this is not victimization either.

No, I never accused anyone of corruption, unless he/she is indicted in a properly constituted court of law... which NL is not. Everybody is innocent by default until proven otherwise. President Buhari has also not accused anyone, it is the EFCC which is collating evidence and making arrests. Presumably, the evidence is strong enough to enable the EFCC convince the Judiciary to make out warrants for those arrested. It is easy for those who have similar evidence against Mrs Buhari to present their own strong evidence to the EFCC in a petition in order to take action against her. Politely speaking, her detractors should put up or shut up.

Again, she is not obliged to defend herself in the 'court' of public opinion, and it is not a useful activity in any case. There are some unpersuadable sceptics who are not relying on legal procedure or logic to accuse her, but a desire for misplaced vengeance and tribalism. Instead we are making noise about a USA trip. I bet you that she can go to the USA and nothing will happen. It is expected that her accusers can lay theirbhands on the account documentation and transactions for the account or forever hold their peace. After all it is a transfer between financial institutions that is being investigated not a cash transaction
