The embattled national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, has said that he will appeal the judgment of the Federal High Court which affirmed his sack as chairman of the party.

Addressing a press conference in Abuja, yesterday, Sheriff said that the order of the Federal High Court, sitting in Abuja, which authenticated ‎his position as chairman subsisted, pointing out that the court’s order cannot be set aside by a court of equal jurisdiction.

‎He said that only the Court of Appeal can upturn the ruling of a high court, adding: “We disagree with today’s (yesterday) judgment completely. We’ve asked our lawyers to immediately file an appeal and also ask the same Federal High Court for stay of execution because there are three orders before his (judge’s) own, which are of the same coordinate jurisdiction.

“Unless and until the Court of Appeal, which is a higher court, makes a pronouncement contrary to what we have, I still remain the chairman.”

The court that gave judgment in Abuja, last week, and the Federal High Court in Lagos and the Port Harcourt court have same competent jurisdiction.”

Reacting to the judgment, Makarfi expressed his happiness saying: “I am also sad that it had to come to this. For me, there should be no winner or loser on this matter. I’m still calling on Senator Ali Modu Sheriff and his followers to join us so that we accommodate one another and, indeed, all other groups in a just, fair and equitable manner, with a view to moving the party forward.”

Can't this man take a chill pill and return to APC where he rightly belongs other than trying "painstakingly" to rule people who obviously does not want him.

Take your problem/trouble loaded mind to APC....

This man go school at all, u r d one appealing and u r still d one asking for stay of execution. A judgement as been passed and until there is another judgement. The present judgement stands. So u av to chill for appeal court to produce another judgement b4 u know ur stance.

Na by force to be chairman? About 95% of PDP don't want u. Which kind man be this. People should be scared of this man from now on.
