Gunmen have abducted a senior pastor with the Evangelical Church Winning All, Rev. Yusuf Magaga, at Kabene-surubu Village in Kauru Local Government Council of Kaduna State. The PUNCH gathered that the kidnappers have demanded a N2m ransom for his release. A resident of Kabene-surubu village, Mr. Jacob Wakili, told our Correspondent that Magaga was kidnapped around 2am on Wednesday. He alleged that the kidnappers were herdsmen and that they established contact with the victim’s family on Thursday and demanded N2m as ransom. Wakili said, “The village was attacked by Fulani herdsmen but thank God the people were able to mobilise for defence. However, they (they attackers) still destroyed part of the ECWA church, took away the Pastor of the church and left few others injured.” The Public Relations Officer, Kaduna State Police Command, Aliyu Usman, could not be immediately reached for comment as calls to his phone indicated that it was switched-off.
