Justice A.I Allagoa of the Federal High Court in Owerri, has, Friday, affirmed the election of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State. Ruling on the matter filed by Mr. Friday Nwosu against, Ikpeazu on alleged forgery of tax documents, the court ruled that the plaintiff, (Nwosu) was unable to prove that the tax documents were forged. The court ruled that the tax documents were not forged, and went further to dismissed the matter. This seems to be a different case from Ogah's. So many people really want to be the governor through the back door. Nigerian lawyers must be one of the happiest people on earth at the moment. Their services are just being sought after by desperate politicians. I don't think the governor can heave a sigh of relief yet. Ogah's claim to his seat is just a 'bad dream' that won't go away soon. |
