is it legal for a father to disown his child? I wonder if is legal for any parent to disown a child without a court ruling? does the constitution justifies the parent to do so what are the parental rights of children no matter their offences?

Please is there any legal document to back it up? Can you direct me to a court ruling that has been done for such a case before? Thank you.
