I made a detour to the bank on my way from church to collect some cash from the ATM (name of bank withheld). I withdrew a certain amount of money only to discover a particular #1000 note was actually fake . I created this thread to create awareness as it seems some fake notes are in circulation..... I implore us to watch out and beware.

I had similar experience with GTB on a campus in Akure about a year ago. They denied that it's not possible for their machine to dispense fake currencies. They insisted that their machine has a technology that detect fake currencies. Anyway, I dropped the fake note there and left knowing write inside me that I'm right. |

whose fault? those charged with the duty of putting there in machine ,I suppose.... |

Unbelievable...ATMs are machines; it is the humans that operate them that do these things most times. But all these deposit ATMs have a way of checking for counterfeit when you deposit abi? Why can't the dispense machines do the same? This should be on front page by the way. |
