I numbered them in decreasing order, from my best to the 'least'...

As per criteria, well, it is based on how impressed I am/was by their skills, workrate and never-say-die spirit.

1. Diego Maradona:
My best player of all time. I was lucky to witness football's greatest magician. He inspired me to buy my first soccer pant and own my first football. My passion of the game will not be the way it is if not the great MARADONA.

2. Ronaldo De Lima :
So Good after a Hat trick in the first half against Man United at Old Trafford, Man United fans gave him a standing ovation when the coach removed Ronaldo early. The World never saw a better attacker. Passionate to train and win. Left his coaches stunned when he played. Changed the game as a striker who had more skills than any player on the pitch. A thing we now see regularly.

3. Lionel Messi:
The modern day genius. One of the greatest scorers in the history of the game. Brilliant left foot. Genius in his fast thinking. Memorable performances that I will never forget in my life time. Especially his second Camp Nou performance against Man City and his four goals against Arsenal.

4. CR7:
The Pinnacle of determination. Not as gifted as a lot of great stars but he works harder than all and put his name as one of the greatest of the round leather game. The man you look to when you need inspiration.

5. Ronaldinho:
A joy to the game. A brief spell at the top of the game but an unforgettable experience. He made life beautiful when you watched him display his breathtaking skills. The game gave him joy and he transcended the joy to the pitch. A joy that reflected all over the world. From his U17 days when he helped destroy Ghana, to his memorable Nigeria '99 performances in Port-Harcourt. Many knew the New Ronaldo was a legend in the making and he did not fail.

6. Zidane:
The master of the decade. The greatest artist of the creative midfield game. A show stopper when he is in his greatest. Provided the World with one of the most unforgettable games in a World Cup where he face two former World best players, Kaka and Ronaldo and the then current World best, Ronaldinho. Zidane played one of the best performances of his career and that performance echoes until today.

7. Luis Figo:
The creative genius and master. Another passionate winner. Outspoken and never stood for wrong. He gave his best all through his games and his Galacticos team at Real Madrid was one of the best I saw. Figo was a big part of that set up.

8. Rivaldo:
His temper was his challenge but his skills were his gift to the World. When all failed, Rivaldo always had a trick or two left in his hat. From his days at Atlanta 96, we knew we witness a great. His partnership with Ronaldo in 2002 World Cup is one of the greatest in the history of the game. Both of them scored a combined 13 goals.

9. Thierry Henry:
IGWE. Dazzling speed, breath taking skills, jaw dropping goals, motivator, leader, passionate and determination. These are words to describe one of the most successful footballer in the game. For both the clubs he played for and his national team.

One of the greatest scorers in the EPL. Multiple golden boots and he will forever be loved by his Arsenal fans.

10. Samuel Eto'o:
This goal driven marksman will not be forgotten. Focused to achieve greatness. This was a man from the Nations Cup in 2000 which he helped Cameroon win to the Olympics in 2000 where he defeated most of the U20 Champions of Spain which had the brilliant Xavi. Announced a young man who had a objective of becoming one of the greatest in the game. He had an illustrious career and he definitely is one of footbalm greatest. His most memorable club time was his back to back success with Barcelona under Guardiola and With Inter Milan with Mourinho. A great African that deserves respect.
