Too Much Hatred In This World. Ronaldo Vs Messi Saga by MoyoGENERAL: 12:40am On Jul 13, 2016 |
There is too much hatred in this World . The European football competition ended on Sunday and one of the highlights of the final was the best player of Portugal, Christiano Ronaldo, sitting on the field, holding his knee and crying. A father was on the football field, in the watching eyes of millions of people all over the world, he was pained and he cried. The cry wasn't so much for the injury but the regret of missing out and losing a chance to help his country. When I saw the sight, I realized there are people out there, football lovers, haters actually, who would be very happy he was in tears. Just because they believe Messi is the best player in the world, over Ronaldo, they become happy at the news that he was injured after just 20 minutes of the match. This is nothing but pure hatred. Now, not up to a month ago, Lionel Messi, arguably the best footballer to ever walk the earth, also burst into tears before the camera and the spectators on the field of play. His country lost out of the Copa America final; this was the third final Argentina would lose in a matter of three years- two on penalties, one in extra-time. It was cruel. Messi missed his penalty in this match and coupled with the regret and feeling of misfortune, he cried at the end of the match and announced he would retire from country football. And some people took great joy in seeing him in tears. Last week, the court in Spain sat and delivered a judgement against Messi and is father for tax evasion between 2007 and 2009. They handed him a jail term of 21 months, which he won't serve at all, and he might appeal the judgement. I saw someone last week who was so happy, laughing and greatly elated about the news of Messi's trial. Now, my purpose of writing this piece is not to bring you football news. I write to point this out. A 'Sadist' as defined by the Dictionary as a person who takes pleasure from the pain of others, someone who loves to see other people in sorrow. I am sorry but there are some football lovers I have seen within these weeks who are nothing but haters and sadists. I don't care if you love Ronaldo more than Messi. I don't give a damn if you think Messi is better than Ronaldo but so long as you take happiness in seeing one of them in tears, there is hatred, deep black hatred in your heart and it will never beget anything good. If you argue for any of the two players as being better, bring your facts or lack thereof, it is of little concern to me. I have repeatedly argued on the subject too. But I will never become happy because one of them is injured or is in tears. It is hatred like this that brings murder as we see in the world today. If ever you find yourself happy at another man's sorrow, for whatever reason, you have a big problem, it would be good for you to treat yourself before it kills you. #VJW# 1 Like |

You're taking this a little personal, they don't wish them sorrows or pains like you point out here. It's a game you're either for one and against the other or the other way around. Let me cite an example here. Assume I'm a real madrid fan and I hate Messi so much, it's only because he doesn't play for my club not that I personally hate him. I tell you that if Messi happens to join real Madrid today, those Madrid fans that hated him would be the one to shower praises and love on him. Same applies to Ronaldo. It is nothing personal, you're taking it too far. If I know Ronaldo would ruin the chance of my club winnings then I would pray something happen to prevent it. A Ronaldo fan would wish the same if in the position too. I hope you understand me o |
