Grammarians in the house, please help me answer this because am totally confuse.
Why do people use " On campus" whenever they are inside a school compound ?

to me ooo am not an english profesor but to my undertanding of the two words. On is to refer as being around campus like outside of the d campus. Like outside school gates. Maybe houses around d campus. While in campus simply mean been inside d campus like some schools that has their hostels inside the school. Hope i made sense
