Idris disclosed that the Police Management Team would probe the last promotion in the Force following complaints by many police personnel that their juniors were promoted over them.

He explained that the probe was to address the discrepancies and complaints by aggrieved police personnel, who were allegedly short-changed during the exercise.

Idris stated that the probe panel would be set up to verify if the promotion was in line with the police service commission policy and regulations.

How many DIGs and AIGs who were senior to you before you were made the IG. Please those who live in glass houses should learn not to throw stones.

There should be a Luxury tax that should be charged to all car owners, FG should start by increasing vehicle registration from 1875 to 4875 for all car owners annually.

Armoured cars should pay nothing less than 50000 per annum.

Arase in the news again.... for bad reason. Same guy who wanted to destroy a young and promising business man, because the guy refused to compromise. If you don't believe me, Google Citadel vs Arase for the full gist.

When you are part of a Government that lies and unleashes propaganda on minute basis to massage the ego of the sai barbarians, you also have to lie and dole out propaganda figures so that it seems you are working and attention will be drawn away from you to the person you are accusing.

If care is not taken and this government cautioned, Nigeria will implode from within as a result of these propaganda's and media trial.

Can you listen to yourself? So who will suffer the increment? Innocent Nigerians or do you think these thieves will feel the pain. If u like increase registration to 1million. They will still pay for it with stolen tax payers money, while ordinary Nigerians who suffer to Buy their cars ,suffer to pay the high registration.

If someone can move 24 vehicles as alledged is it now money to register that will be the problem to move too.
Say a different thing.

“I wrote back to him and said, we have a policy that says when a policeman retires, if you are an IG, AIG, a CP, you are entitled to some vehicles; please, the extra, return it. Four vehicles are enough for an average human being, but what will you even do with four vehicles; but he took 24 vehicles, including two BMW cars.

Oh really?! These people are going to steal Nigeria to death.

the cars are bought with niger delta oil money. If really he took it then the cars went to the rightful owner. So mr. Man stop lamenting and face ur work because soon all the oil pipe will be shut down and there will be no money to buy you a new car.

What is innocent about taking home NPF vehicles on retirement, is it logical to reasoning or constitutionally right that on retirement the top police officers are entitled to such government properties. There is no excuse for taking those cars, they should return them asap to avoid government embarrassment. In a sane society, no court will even wanna hear this case cos it's just to straight and logical, they will simply tell them to do what is right.

Sir, in criminal justice or jurisprudence, you are assumed to be innocent until proven guilty by a competent court. Even if the case is obvious. There must be proceedings and proper court documentation that will form a basis for other similar litigations.

However, this is not a court case.

The IGP wrote to Arase but couldn't even hold his mouth until he gets a reply.

Maybe, just maybe, those cars may be somewhere else.

So let's not judge by hearing from ONLY one party.

Clearly this is a bad IG in the making...he was part of the Police force senior leadership team before he tool over as IG . Why not write the IG if you know you are correct. Surprised people have ignored the comments of Arase on NL and have pronounced him guilty already.

People in government are the worst hope for this nation

Exactly my point. He's doing it to look like an anti corruption crusader while busy milking the system dry.

Can anyone please tell me what junior officers of the NPF can take home upon retirement abi they are not human beings? what is right is right and what is wrong is wrong, people should lean to stop stealing Govt property upon retirement. It was bought with tax payers money and should have been left behind for the next person in office to use.
Things like these won't let the country recover from the mistakes of our past leaders.
