It is better to work harder on a business that can keep paying you even when the activity that brought about the income is long gone. In 2003, I met a world class computer programmer who designed a software that would automate Jamb registration, examination process etc. I told him to sell the software to Jamb and request for N5 on every complete registration via the software and knowing the Nigerian government so well, instead of paying him they would just add N5 to the Jamb registration so that applicant would be the one paying. Implementing this with the current statistics showing that an average of 7million people write Jamb annually, this means he should be earning about N35million every year for the rest of his life. But because he listened to his friends who told him Jamb registration process cannot be changed, as it has been so will it always be. He trashed his idea and few years later he saw it happen. Right now what is obtainable is that you cant even register for Jamb exam if you dont go online. Same with Nysc registration now
