Everyone does one form of shopping or the other.
We encounter different kinds of traders. We may not notice the characteristics of these traders but believe me, they have many in common. Whether you’re in Kano, Lagos, Enugu or Calabar, our traders are the same everywhere.

I bet you have encountered the following traders during your shopping expeditions:

1. The Overzealous Sellers
We all know these types of traders. They’re the ones that will grab your hands or your top and say:

2.  The “Speak my dialect” if you want a bargain group
Every Nigerian knows some words from as many as three or four dialects so we get bargains when we jam this group of traders. Tribalism may still be alive and well in Naija, but it hasn’t stopped us from profiting from it.

3.  The “price and buy or we’d cuss you out” traders
You know those traders who are so rude and have serious “bad-mouth”. If you ever make the mistake of pricing their goods, you must buy it or they will cuss you and your entire generation.

4.  The serious hustlers aka hawkers
Where would we be as a nation without our hawkers? This set of people cater to us in traffic, they even bring the goods to our doorsteps.
