US ambasssador James Entwistle claims of sexual misconduct against three lawmakers was a case of mistaken Identity according to Nigeria's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama
On the second day of hearing in Abuja, the Minister of Foreign Affairs faced questions from the subcommittee on ethics.
Geoffrey Onyeama said it was embarrasing that a private letter to the speaker of the house of representatives was leaked to the public.
A housekeeper who was reportedly sexually harassed by a lawmaker refused to testify throwing the case into a tailspin.
But the accused lawmakers have insisted on proceeding with the case until their names are cleared

Federal government must insist on a well publicised apology from the US government to the law makers that were mistakenly accused. The US government must also learn to conduct proper investigation next time before accusing and embarrassing innocent people. I am sure they didn't bother to investigate properly because the accused are Africans. If the accused law makers were to be Europeans, wouldn't they have conducted a proper investigation before accusing and cancelling their visas? This is one mistake that is too costly.

the Ambassador was only quoting a report by the state department, their fates have already been sealed by the State Department, their visas revoked. So the national assembly will have to go Washington to fight this one out
