well at some point or the other there is always the need to move from one neighborhood to another due to many reason.you might start to wonder how to adapt fast enough and blend into life in that new place well here are some points pertaining to that

1 Familiarize with an elderly person.

There is always an elderly man or woman in that neighborhood that everyone respects both young and old. Believe me there are some hoods where once the hood boys notices you as a jjc they will do everything to extort money from you or even make your life miserable. You can’t fight them because you are new on that street and you are even out numbered. The best way out of that mess is just to try and familiarize yourself with that old and respected individual am sure he knows how to call anyone making life miserable for you into order

2 Have a reliable bike man (okada man)

You will need to get around and get to know certain important places like the market and a few important places and if you will agree with me I can say there is no place in that neighborhood that that okada man won’t know, try and be on the lookout and familiarize yourself with one you can call whenever you need to get to places you don’t know but be careful with them though they could be dangerous.

3 Have a particular customer you buy things from.

There are certain days you might be broke on that your new Street so I will advise you have one particular customer you buy things from when you are ‘’gallant’’ either the canteen woman or the kiosk owner. Believe me it would be easy to secure things on credit from them on that day when money no dey.

4 Be familiar with a good chemist or hospital to Register.

Life can be unpredictable sometimes. You could develop a very severe health issue that could require you visiting the hospital at mid night or for emergency situations.Am sure you won’t want to wait till such occurrences happen before you register at a nearby hospital in that your new neighborhood. Register early enough to save your life and save yourself unnecessary panicking

5 Attend a Church/Mosque

At some points you will need people to socialise with and share some of your issues with. Try and join a church or mosque where you can talk to God and do other spiritual activities. Sometimes churches and mosques are known to come to the aid of their members during financial difficulties and other challenges so make haste and be on the lookout for a good church in that neighborhood.

6 Know the nearest Police Station

Believe me in as much as we try to avoid police wahala at one point or the other they are still the ones we call on at some bad moments. Try and know where a police station is in that neighborhood at one point or the other believe me you will need them.

7 Take a stroll around the neighborhood whenever you can
You could just decide to stroll around the neighborhood on evenings when you are free through that you will discover a few things that will help you adjust and fit in into the new neighborhood well.

8 Mind your business.

You just packed to that street and everyone knows you at every beer parlor, every gossip joints am telling you, you are creating hell for yourself already because unnecessary attention will bring about a lot of insult and could bring wahala when dem start to dey pack that olofofo squad or the people police met at the bar.

9 Open your eye and ears like it’s not opened

There might be a newspaper stand where people gather and discus a lot of things and am sure you know sometimes the information at the news stand pass goggle own lol.its not necessary you stand there and listen, just by passing by you could catch a thing or two from those discussing that could be of help

10 Partake in street or neighborhood meetings.

Every street always as a meeting at one point or the other to discuss issues that concern the street try and find out from your neighbors when such meetings take place there you will get familiar with people and adjust to the new neighborhood quickly.
