officially, no dates has been declared yet. But I learnt from my bank that they will resume next week wednesday, I don't know if this applies only to banks or not. We'll know the exact dates today or tomorrow.

Govt declares Monday and Tuesday as public holiday

The Federal Government has declared Monday 21 and Tuesday September 22, 2009 as public holidays to mark the Moslem end of Ramadan and the celebration of Id-Ed-Fitri.

The Minister of Interior, Shettima Mustafa, who made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government, congratulated Nigeria muslims at home and abroad for the successful completion of the fasting.

The minister called on Nigerians to celebrate the event with sober reflection on the mercies and goodness of Allah for the nation.
