Of course before the bashing starts i known the individual meanings of these two words 'for' and 'to' but what i don't get is the difference between them when used in the context below:

1.) After all i have done FOR you

2.) After all i have done TO you

please nlanders help a brother out.....

Sentence 1 has a positive meaning while sentence 2 is negative!

Guy man, as hawx puts it, "to" as used in (2) connotes negative and "for" in (1), positive.

How does it sound, "after all the good things I did to you?"

I think 'done for you' refers to what I've done on your behalf while 'done to you' refers to what I've one directly to you
