He was formally known as Habeeb Babatunde Lawal but now, he answers Noni Salma Lawal. Before he left Nigeria, he (abi nah she we go call am now) graduated from the University of Lagos, Nigeria with Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts. He even became a filmmaker and transformed into a transgender.

Talking about her transition, Noni said: ”It was a life or death situation for me. It was either transition or die”.
