Yoruba militia/OPC on the loose

Niger Delta Militants are after crude oil not shops.......Yoruba thieves.

My brother didn't you notice anything of recent. Nigeria media(especially PUNCH and NATION Newspapers)doesn't use the words hoodlums, kidnappers or armed robbers rather they use militants all they want to achieve is to tag Niger delta avengers terrorists so that USA and other world countries will come and help them as usual. But God pass Nigeria media and NDA wise pass dem too.

Policemen, are at the moment engaged in a gun battle with militants in Igando, area of Lagosstate.
a suburb of Lagos. It was gathered that the militants stormed the area around 4am, looting shops and shooting into the air.

The ongoing shootout, which has left three policemen injured, has caused residents of Igando, especially those around Ikejobi Avenue, Ewedogbon Bus Stop to flee their homes or hide indoors.

Two Rapid Response Squad armoured tanks are involved in the gun battle with more than 200 residents on the road with security operatives.

I say it again, I hope these are just thieves and not militants because if these continues with militants being held responsible in the media, lynching of SS people isn't far off in the West by unlearned touts which isn't good for the peace we've all been enjoying here.Abeg,no quote me,my opinion.

1. Robbers, not militants.
2. It happened around 8:30a.m, not 4:30a.m.

All these militants from the SS and SE again. Na wa ooo.

Wont somebody brand them already as some religion's terrorist?

Ofcos they wont. undecided

how do you come to conclusion they are SS/SE when they are most likely not. Your tribal and religious hate will always show itself.

It is clearly time for the South West to rise up against militancy once and for all.

Funny thing is that the iPods cheering the militants on are doing so out of frustration that their own agitation has been largely ignored for obvious reasons smiley.
Abeg make we hear, I reside in that area, they are cultists fighting over supremacy, iba and igando should liase and fight it with oro, most of them are indigenes abi omo onile, and they are known by the obas and bales.

This has been going on for more than a month now and nothing has been done by the Lagos State and Ogun state government and security operatives. A lot of people have been killed and people are quiet about it. I just came to visit my parents and found out all these have been happening. I am surprised nobody spoke out and never heard of it in the news and was about creating a thread for it before I saw this news. The Totou town in Ogun state which is separated from Igando by a swamp river has been deserted. People of Isuti road are living in constant fear. It is a pity the Government cannot protect lives. It is even worse that people are not speaking out. I think the fellow who said there was something wrong with the South-west is correct. Please, if you are aware of these activities of militants in Igando speak out using every medium possible. Lagos is under serious terrorist threat and nothing is being done.

They have been chased back into the creeks like the rats that they are.

RRS are currently tracking them using drones and a helicopter.

This is not Niger Delta where the Governor and politicians are their patrons.

People that reside in areas that they stop by should be vigilant, they need food and supplies.

There is no safe haven for criminals over here.

Which drone are u talking about sef. Those toys? They left not chased.

Very sure, it's not today they started na, over the years it has been like that, my neighbour had an hypertension about three ago over such an issue because her son in law who was cultists controlling one side in iba was almost killed, they also extend to isasi and odan, for those familiar with that environment.
