Amaechi trying to shake hands with governor Wike as DSS boss looks
Two political bigwigs in Rivers state, Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State and Minister of Transportation, Mr Chibuike Amaechi met eye to eye again.
This time, it was at the instance of the acting inspector general of police, Ibrahim Idris and the Director-General of Department of State Services, DSS, Alhaji. Musa Daura who had called for a chart for peace ahead of the re-run senatorial/House of Representative elections in Rivers State governor Wike and Amaechi resolved to be irrevocably committed to lasting peace and vouched to play the game by the rules.
They also agreed to prevail on their teaming supporters to adhere to their commitment to peace and security in the state.
Furthermore, both Wike and Amaechi agreed to convene another meeting in Port Harcourt to solidify the commitment to peace reached in the meeting.
Meanwhile, the Rivers state commissioner for information and communication, Dr Austin Tam- George has called on the federal government to as a matter of urgency disband the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) under the leadership of Prof. Mahmood Yakubu.

These two Political gladiators will never broker peace now they both enjoying from their respective angles.

I won't be surprised Wike will smell a rat in the peace deal.

Before the 2015 general elections, a peace deal was signed by Wike, Dakuku (Amaechi's shadow man), and Tonye Princewill for a Nonviolent elections.

The peace deal was brokered by the US Ambassador.
