It's half time now and both the players and spectators can take a deserved breather after a very racy start to proceedings. Don't rule out more goals in the second half as both teams' defences are vulnerable

45 - Sadiq Umar again troubles the Japan goal but Etebo fails to connect a cross from the exciting Roma striker
bro if etebo was a bit taller that cross would ve connected right to his head, hw far na? how u enjoying the match?

Nigeria winning games such as this against Japan despite the odds,is part of the reason administrators will always falter with preparations.

The goals too much oh!
I suggest the junior eagles try for one more goal and then park a big green bus infront of the 18

The high line and pressing leaves the defense exposed. A well organized team will expose them on the counter. If you want to play like Barca, you press as a team.

Azubuike is not sitting in the defensive midfield. He is out of position most of the time.

Sincere Seth is not a center defender shehu is not a right back. Shehu was at fault for the second by not maintaining the defense line. kept the player onside.

Sadiq umar, Imoh Ezekiel and etebor... the stars of the show

I sincerely concur but let's blame jetlag and see what happen in subsequent games.I am not impressed by Mikel,Akpeyi is also a culprit of the second goal, how does he allow the ball to pass inbetween his legs, these two senior players must sit up if we are to make impacts.
is that akpeyi on the post? i thought its the 1st choice keeper, daniel?

Please guys, can we just clap for Sadiq Umar, Oghenekaro Etebo & Azubuike.. They deserve it

Why Mikel is playing as a false 8 or 9 or 10 is beyond me, indiscipline at most but that's not his fault self

Though am optimistic, I hope our mentality overcomes fatigue just like our brothers from the south did against the host nation..

Can someone please tell me why a slow and stiff Mikel would be playing the number 10 role?? He needs to play from the back in the dm role. He's useless in attack angry angry

Umar is making a lot of sense as the target man tonight.
combining mikel and 36 year-old usman muhammed in midfield is costing us a bit tho. all in all great attacking intent and nice play. kudos to siasia and the boys.
