Veteran actor, Pete Edochie, has been warned by some Nigerians to stay out of politics and face his acting career.

The warning to Edochie comes after the actor slammed the President Muhaummadu Buhari-led government and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) for plotting to remove Senator Ike Ekweremadu as the deputy Senate president.

The actor who queried if Ekweremadu’s removal will help stabilize the economy, create jobs, or curtail Fulani Herdsmen from killing of helpless Nigerians among others, said the deputy Senate president should be recalled if his removal will bring solution to the problems in the country.

Edochie however stated that if Ekweremadu’s removal will not proffer solutions to the challenges facing the country, then all the APC governors seeking the removal of the deputy Senate president should tender their resignation letters and handover notes. The actor’s statement has generated mixed reactions from a section of Nigerians with some suggesting that his comments could get him into trouble.

Even a 2 years old has the right to call for resignation of any government official in a democratic setting.

But since we are practicing Pseudo-democracy under this regime, nobody has the right to criticise APC... You criticise, they frame you up and if they can't frame you up, they rubbish your good name on media claiming fight against corruption....

Good pete is not a politician if not next thing is to chase him arround with efcc.

Talking about Morals, God, Consciousness, Awareness etc, Pete Edochie is a symbol of all these. He is a Professional (Politician or otherwise). Whatever comes out of him should be Food for political, social and economic consumption of all Nigerians, irrespective of tribe and social status. Pete Edochie is the Tribe of Alex Ekwueme and Dr Zik in Nigeria now. Don't joke or play him around please.

Would you mind most of those who have commented? I even saw where one questioned where he had been when GEJ was president. What Edochie said is nothing but the plain truth.

It's embarassing when young people resort to insulting other people who are opposed to their views.
It's even more disgusting when these insults are hurled at elders. All because of difference in: opinion, ideology or political leaning?
Can't we argue, debate and express our views & opinions without insulting one another??
