1. The state is named after the city.

2. Ondo was pronounced a city on 05/12/2015.

3. The first king to rule in Ondo is a female, her name is 'Pupupu' pronounce as 'mi-do-mi'.

4. Osemawe (do-re-do-mi) is the Paramount ruler in Ondo.

5. The name, Ondo is carved out of Edo (do-mi) yam stick.

6. Their local soup is called Gba-non-non(mi-mi-do).

7. Best food is Pounded yam.

8. Osemawe was carved out of 'ese omo ti mo ewe'. This first king was still a kid then, she was ask to go and bring some leaves, she went and brought them, they were amazed and they said ' This evil child knows leave'.

9. There are 26 alphabets in Ondo dialect, they are A B D E E F G GB GH GW I J K L M N O O P S S T U W Y.

10. Dr Olusegun Mimiko is the first Ondo man become a Governor in Ondo state, and the first to use two term.

11. You can only enter the city through three main route. from Lagos or Benin to Ore to Ondo, or from Ibadan to Ile-Ife to Ondo, or from Ekiti to Akure to Ondo.

12. When an Ondo's speak, they don't pronounce 'R', they will simply remove the R and pronounce the remaining alphabet. for example groundnut oil= Ororo=Ooo, Stand=Duro=Du'o, Meat=Eran=E'an.

13. Ondo have the highest number of fraudster in Nigeria, they spread throughout Nigeria.

14. Ondo is home to some Nigerian Celebrities like King Sunny Ade, Omotola Jalade, Bimbo Oshin,etc.

15. The most common factory in Ondo is water processing factory and bakeries.

16. They like referring to people from Oyo and Osun states as " Koololo" (tell them you are not going) kí o so wipe oo lo.

17.They are very stubborn even to the point of death, but not before soldiers o.

You are very correct sir. No tribe in Nigeria love partying like the Ondo's.

Ondo women are very loving and adulterous, even a six years old girl you see, don't think she is a virgin o. They lick d.ick more than anything.

Their main festival is the Ogun festival
