Importers of petroleum products buy these products with dollars. Remember they buy the dollars with ur nairalander. The same dollars that's on a flight to space in a rocket propelled jet whenever it sees the crippled naira.

As long as dollar price keeps climbing, petrol price will keep climbing.
An analyst said petrol is being sold at 1dollar per litre in virtually all country where there's no subsidy. Dollar is around 350naira now. So my brothers, buckle up, we are getting there.

So blame Buhari for the instability of the naira, not the importers.

Very funny post. Nigeria deregulated under duress instead of in comfort like I've always advocated. Go back to 2012 and see that I was totally in support of deregulation as at then as it would have helped us save some funds. The international price of petrol determines our pricing as we still depend on importation but our foreign exchange earnings is at an all time low mainly as a result of sabotage by Avengers.

The average price of petrol internationally is about $1.2 per litre while some are lower and others higher. Assuming ours is 60 cents per litre then it should go for roughly 200 to 220 Naira .

Deregulation allows marketers or importers fix prices in such a way that they would not run at loss hence no need for subsidy payment. If FG wants them to sell lower than their landing cost then subsidy has to be reintroduced.

during GEJ era, oyel price was $114/pb but despite high subsidy price n landing cost, nigerians were buying fuel at N97/litre.
fastward to buari dullard's govt, international oyel price droped from $114/pb to $46/pb, yet nigerians ar buying fuel at N145/litre. some zombies go claim exchange rate but why exchange rate no dey reflect on reduced international price of oyel at $46/pb

dis one na serious anomally.
d above is a perfect definition of change. change from prosperity to suffering n backwardness.
