A big congrats to the Sade Crooner as his debut Album GOLD enters the Billboard world music chart. GOLD currently holds the number 7 spot on the chart.

It must be noted that Adekunle is not the first Nigerian to have his song on the Billboard world chart. There’s the case of Kiss Daniel’s “New Era” and Reminisce’s “Baba Hafusa."

The Billboard charts tabulate the relative weekly popularity of songs or albums in the United States and elsewhere. The results are published in Billboard magazine. Billboard biz, the online extension of the Billboard charts, provides additional weekly charts.[1] There are also Year End charts. [2] The charts may be dedicated to specific genre such as R&B, country or rock, or they may cover all genres. The charts can be ranked according to sales, streams or airplay, and for main song charts such as the Hot 100 song chart, all three pools of data are used to compiled the charts.[3] For the Billboard album chart, streams and track sales are included in addition to album sales.
