NOA has being indolent for a while, but we observe with finesse, every activity on Nairaland. When things go sideways and are done inappropriately, we do not hesitate to call the attention of the supreme moderator and owner of Nairaland(seun) towards any noticed flaw because it is our duty as patriotic members of this prodigious forum to act when the last straw has broken the camel's back. It would be a log in our eyes that needs to be removed.


It has come to our notice that the Mr/Miss Nairaland 2016 contests have being flawed from the onset, the purpose of these competitions was to accredit the best male or female common nairalander for their effort and potentials on this forum, it goes sideways when a moderator who is part of the board/administration and directs the affairs of this forum, engage him or herself in an exercise meant for the common member.

The NOA's urge you (seun), moderators alike, and every member of this forum to see this from a right perspective.

A moderator has a tremendous advantage at winning this! This goes against everything equity stands for!
Everybody from the sections he moderates has no choice but to be on his side, either by compulsion or psychological indirection and not only just from his territorial sections, but sections of his moderator friends who could make threats to nairalanders like "they will have a long time out if they do not vote their friend", making it very difficult, if not completely unfair for other contestants.

You that claim to be rational, but do you think this is fair enough? If you are not sentimental, then I know the answer to that question.

If he eventually wins on saturday, trust we nigerians because we are gifted with asking weird questions and conveying ridiculous impressions and assumptions.

Anticipate questions like:

1) Does Seun not pay his moderators well enough? If so, He should be taken to court!

2) Why should a member of staff/moderator/admin engage in a competition meant for common forum members?

3) Moderators have their own competition, just like the "employee of the month" competitions in other fine establishments, moderators have their own well-known competition which is "Moderator of the year". The moderator in question, somehow won the Just concluded Moderator of the year competition.

Is it not utter greed to engage in something meant for the common member again? It is sheer wickedness, dastardly, if not sinister. Nothing differentiates this act from taking candy from a baby.

4)Do they think we are that gullible?

5)It seems he wants to covet the prize money for no other reason apart from greed.

6)It seems like every moderator deserves a raise because this is an embarrassment to seun.

Other Contestants and members, please what are your opinion on this issue? I urge you to speak with an unbiased mind, thank you!

We are everywhere on this forum, our predisposition is inexplicable, a vast network of brilliant minds to be reckoned with, possessing numerical strength above 50, we have computer gurus and seasoned hackers that can cause unimaginable damage if signalled, and with the backing of a moderator. We are not scared of anything. They say "little problems can aggravate disaster"

Nice write up. unfortunately, your premiss fail to hold water. Firstly, there are rules governing this contest. Your real concerns should be if his eligibility flouts the rules. Your opinion counts for nothing if it sidelines the power of the rules. Consult the rules and free yourself from this ignorant assumption.

Secondly, on the moderatorship influence, I'll ask you a very straightforward question. If Mynd44 contests in this elections, do you assume he would win flawlessly? We all know the answer to that, so, you can ditch that as swiftly as you based your assumptions on it.

Finally, what has the issue of earnings to do with this contest? Granted there are prizes attached, I believe it isn't the ulterior motives of all contestants that enter for this competition. Have you ever heard of NISD before? Do you know the resources put into it by the Nairalander you are tackling and others as well? Do you know what they have put in now? And you really believe it's all about the money?

My apologies if you have none ofvthe qualities required to contest, but there are many positive ways to vent your creative energy than concocting slander.
