Gambling is not based on any plans; not based on any reasonable or logical inputs.

Imagine a living human being looking for 'dead people' or spirits on Thursdays from which to get 'winning' numbers. Supposedly sane people frantically pursuing lunatics on the street for help.

That's how gambling works.

The psychology of a gambler defies any rational, thoughtful, scientific pattern of thoughts and actions.

And once a gambler is hooked, it would be a miracle to disengage from the stupidity. Each passing day is viewed as the 'lucky' day. Occasional paltry winnings are spent in the most foolish way, then they go back with the hope of hitting the JACKPOT one day, and the circle continues.
