Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) group has fallen apart as its members form a new groupment – The Reformed Niger Delta Avengers (RNDA) is ready to join the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) at negotiations with the government – Militants also pledged to deanonymize those behind the resurgence of violence in the oil-producing region The further unity of the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) is under question as some of its members seceded from the agressive militant group. The dissidents have announcing themselves as the Reformed Niger Delta Avengers (RNDA) and even promised to reveal the identities of those behind the attacks on the oil producing facilities in the region.In a statement signed by Cynthia White, the group explained its position on the state of affairs and revealed disagreements within the NDA.
“We have decided to join the MEND Aaron Team 2 peace initiative through the clearing house of Niger Delta Dialogue and Contact Group (NDDCG) headed by HRH King Alfred Diette-Spiff. We will also cooperate with the government by exposing the identities of our comrades who remain stubborn in their insistence to continue attacks. For example, it will shock the nation to know the Jekyll and Hyde personality behind the pseudonym ‘Brigadier General Murdoch Aginibo’ and our sponsors,” the group threatened.
