Woke up this morning to the noise about the Track Suit worn by Team Nigeria at the opening ceremony of Rio 2016. i still wonder why the wailing even from some so called zombies. Mind you Team Nigeria is not the only team on Track Suit neither is this the first time our team attends opening ceremony of major events in Track Suit. I know things are tougher than ever before but to whose gain it is to continuing this bitterness against our Country and government when we should be doing something positive.

see what am talking about here:

I actually don't know what the fuss is all about. South Africa and a host of other countries also in track suits. Some Nigerians just like to wail for wailing sake.

Nigeria traditional outfits worn by our competitors in every Olympics since we began attending has been one of the highlights of opening ceremonies. That our athletes turned up wearing track suites for this Olympics - in Brazil of all places where the natives have some links to us -was disgraceful if not indicative of the continued falling standards of Nigeria's officialdom. This should be condemned vigorously or else we'll continue to be served shoddily by our officials who take our patience for granted.

If South Africa want to behave like gangsters to the detriment of their hugely rich and diverse cultural heritage that's their business but Nigeria as the largest reservoir of black folks of African heritage we have to serve as example of what blacks can be. That we are not merely spectators and consumers of Western culture but have our own to offer the world.
