Although the man has been greatly insulted even by the people he represented, it could be said that no CAN leader ever raised his voice against the persecution of the Church as he did. His secret I understand was cos he is quite wealthy. It's on record that the man has never taken any salary or allowance from CAN in his two terms as President of CAN. Though CAN is meant to be funded by Churches all over the states of the federation, on coming to office, he noted that the contributions cant be enough to run CAN. Besides, most of the State CAN offices were not making remittances as they ought to. He thus sought to create a steady stream of income for the body. Hence, from personal cash and contributions from Wealthy Christians, he raised this 50room guest inn in the heart of Abuja.. 1 Like
