Lagos is probably the only city world bank or whomever can loan the amount of money required to host an olympics. Lagos is a bankable city and prominent one in AFRiCA. Monetary lagos is kinda RIPE

But in ideal terms The big cities in SA. and maybe,-though I think it would be stupid-, the big cities in Nigeria(Lag and maybe Abj) can host the Olympics. These two countries have the largest economies in Africa. The Olympics is the largest sporting event in the world, it would cost tens of billions of dollars, the largest Nigerian Budget ever is $30 billion. Assuming we get 7 years to prepare, do you think that the FG would be willing to spend more than 5% of its budget every year on a sporting event?

If we really want to host we'd have to borrow and it'll still strain our purse.
