World Cup qualifiers: Nigeria's major headache is Kenya - Oliseh
By Olawale Olaniyan - 23.09.2009
FORMER Super Eagles captain, Sunday Oliseh has said the Harambee Stars of Kenya will not be an easy side to beat for the Eagles in their last 2010 World Cup qualifier billed for Nairobi, after the disappointing 2-2 draw against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia which has put Nigeria's hope of playing in the 2010 World Cup in jeopardy.

The former Juventus of Italy player while speaking on a local radio station urged the Eagles to forget about what happened in Abuja and focus their attention on the remaining two qualifiers.

“I believe the major match we have at hand is against Kenya and we must prove our worth during the game if we want to be in South Africa next year. I don't envisage much problem in the home game against Mozambique but the last game in Kenya will decide our fate.

“In football, you never say never until it’s over and we just have to be focused to surmount the task ahead even though, we also need some element of luck to pick the ticket at the expense of Tunisia," said the Atlanta '96 Olympics gold medallist.

Nigeria is trailing Tunisia with two points on the table, just as Nigerians are praying fervently for the Carthage Eagles to lose one of their remaining games against Mozambique and Kenya.
