CHANGE! OH CHANGE!!
CHANGE we all know is the only constant thing in life.
CHANGE is more than just a word, it is a sentence, a phrase and even more.
CHANGE is a slogan that has been in vogue in Nigeria for over a year now.
CHANGE is what the ruling party APC promised during their presidential campaign.
On hearing this Nigerians jubilated that finally Nigeria is going to experience something new, BUT we never bothered to ask what kind of change we were preparing ourselves for.
We forgot the fact that CHANGE and PROGRESS are two different things; we forgot that CHANGE can be either for GOOD or for BAD.
MANY who foresaw the impending danger and crisis of the so called “CHANGE” warned against it BUT we never cared to listen.
Today in Nigeria CHANGE has turned an abominable word, no one wants to hear it, even the advocates of the so called change are renouncing it daily, and many of them are regretting their actions, because we are experiencing the opposite of what was promised.
Imagine a situation where workers are not being paid, Government threatening to cut workers salaries even with the current hike of things in the market.
What a CHANGE
CHANGE has made everything expensive, there is nothing in Nigeria today that the market value did not increase, and even at that there is no money in circulation.
CHANGE to some Nigerians means CHAINS to some CHANGE is a nightmare.
The word CHANGE irritates most NIGERIANS.
CHANGE! OH CHANGE!!
NIGERIANS would not forget you in such a hurry.
