As Nigerians, it is easy to point accusing fingers at former President Goodluck Jonathan, President Muhammadu Buhari, APC or PDP as the cause of our woes as a nation. But after inspecting some Nigerian used cars that are available for sale, I realized many of us have put this nation on a free fall with fraudulent acts which include portraying our scrap Nigerian used cars as 6 months used in order to sell at ridiculously high prices. http://autojosh.com/the-scam-of-6-months-nigerian-used-cars-for-sale/ 31 Likes 3 Shares

I do a lot of vehicle inspections every week and 18/20 are usually crap with tons of issues, the cost of fixing most of these cars to standard plus price of car when added will be more than the price of getting a toks. Be fore investing in any car (toks or nigerian used) pay for a comprehensive inspection. It will save you a heart break. 77 Likes 7 Shares |

Well I am just actually here to say when a car was imported into the country does not necessarily matter. There are three tokunbo cars now in my estate that has been there like 2 to 4 years ago and have not been sold 1. The infiniti I30 variant of the Nissan you uploaded 2. Mazda exodus9/millenia 2000 V6 3. Acura mdx The infiniti when I asked was said to be worth 400k that's after two years the owner didn't find a buyer, the car is still at that same spot with all 4 tires romancing the soil 39 Likes 4 Shares |

In this country sellers tell their buyers serious lies just to sell their commodities, and the credulous once will believe, mostly ostentatious goods. I think is preferable one buy a fairly used car from a user you know personally, than buying tokunbo from road sides, or rather buy a brand new one, to avoid spending money unnecessarily on something you're suppose to derive joy from. 15 Likes 1 Share |

That's why we are called Nigerians. If Nigerian greet u good morning, try and check ur time very well to be ascertained it is morning indeed. I'm very scared when it comes with business here not to talk of buying fairly used car. We need special agency to checkmate the fraud perpetrated on daily basis in this country. 15 Likes 1 Share |

Is it so difficult to place a ban on "fairly used" or "Tokunbo" cars and ensure Nigerians buy only new cars. This would save us the troubles of going through the rigors of buying and using Tokunbo cars. The beauty of these is that it will reduce the ever increasing numbers of cars in the country, again i don't see any sense in someone or a family having 3 to 5 cars. Well what do i know. 14 Likes |

Wickedness is our birthright, it's inherent in us as Nigerians. I tell you. When bible says : "the heart of man is desperately wicked...... " I believe it was referring to the Nigerian man 15 Likes |

used car is use car,as far its being shipped into this country. There will be one or two problem, maybe body work or so before its being auction at a cheap price and sold over....Trick is that, its more easy to repair over here than over there.... as buhari has killed the naira, expect that used cars to go up here, only way now you can get a cheap car from the formal price you know na if hunger don beat the seller... 14 Likes |

NIGERIANS ARE CRAZY FOR AMERICA USED CARS THAT MILK THEM DRY. JUMBO ENGINES WITH HIGH MILLAGE WHICH CONVERTED TO KILOMETRES WILL BE IN 200KS. BUT GOING FOR A NIGERIAN ISED IS EVEN MORE DISTURBING. The reason why people dispose cars is because of fear. I bought my car as London use and it served me for two years b4 it started with black smoke and brian box issues. I spent fortune but i never relent .eventually i had d car's problem fixed now am still enjoying it. If you buys a car and u can fix d problem that might rises good luck. No bad car to me someone used it from new to that present stage and can be fixed. 15 Likes 1 Share |
