Many started being "bullied" right from the minute after birth, where a Nurse will have to give a heavy pat in the back, just to make live and see the world of being in a different view. However, only a few have a thorough knowledge of what "Workplace Bullying means".

For the record, the concept of workplace bullying is a collective expression that includes various forms of mistreatment and hostile behaviour in the workplace setting (Fox & Stallworth, 2005). Bullying means situations where a person is repeatedly and over a period of time exposed to negative acts (i.e. constant abuse, offensive remarks or teasing, ridicule or social exclusion) on the part of co-workers, supervisors or subordinates, and where the person confronted have difficulties defending himself/herself against the mistreatment.

Thus, this research is being conducted as a possible resolution of these critical problems in order for social scientists to have a meaningful impact on legal and policy-related issues. Furthermore, your response to this study will help provide reliable and valid findings to assess workplace bullying, which are important for the development and implementation of effective intervention strategies of Human resources to prevent workplace bullying in Nigeria.
