Freisland is the major milk producer in Nigerian and currently imports almost all raw milk from Holland. They have been working with FG to see how to utilize some of the local milk from Nigerian for their production. The program is already under way with farm settlement proposed for Iseyin and neighbouring towns in Oyo state. A grazing range will be provided and the farmers will be guided and trained to produce safe, hygienic and quality milk for use by Freisland. This will provide jobs, reduce herdsmen movement, and help Nigeria save Forex.
But when NLders see News like this na just to begin yarn rubbish. The awkwardness of some mindsets here is annoying.

Dairy giant FrieslandCampina WAMCO - maker of Peak Milk, Three Crowns Milk and the Friso brand - has been working with herdsmen of both Fulani and Yoruba stock for many years, especially in Kwara and Oyo States under a project named DDP - Dairy Development Programme. This has helped improved milk production delivery and has stabilized and boosted the incomes of all the herdsmen that have benefited from the project.

Although FrieslandCampina isn't the only company selling milk in Nigeria, it is the only one that signed an MOU with the Federal Government that pre-dates President Buhari's administration. Now the company wants to do much more with all cow farmers across the country and help to build Nigeria's struggling dairy industry.

Times are very difficult as our Naira is taking a beating against the dollar and other market forces. But Mr. Roelof Joosten the Global CEO of FrieslandCampina flew in from The Netherlands and together with his Nigerian counterparts went to Aso Rock to show their corporate commitment to Nigeria and the Buhari-led Federal Government, and to tell Mr President the determination of FrieslandCampina to help grow our dairy sector.
