sins? (12 Ahadeeth)
The Messenger of Allah ﺻﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ
said…
1. 'If anyone performs ablution like that of
mine and offers a two-rak'at prayer during
which he does not think of anything else
(not related to the present prayer) then his
past sins will be forgiven.' (Sahih Al-
Bukhari Vol. 1, Hadith 161)
2. 'If a man performs ablution perfectly and
then offers the compulsory congregational
prayer, Allah will forgive his sins
committed between that (prayer) and the
(next) prayer till he offers it.' (Sahih Al-
Bukhari Vol. 1, Hadith 161)
3. 'When the time for a prescribed prayer
comes, if any Muslim performs ablution
well and offers his prayer with humility
and bowing, it will be an expiation for his
past sins, so long as he has not committed a
major sin.' (Sahih Muslim 441)
4. 'A Muslim who purifies (himself ) and
completes purification as enjoined upon him
by Allaah and then offers the prayers, that
will be expiations (of his sins he committed)
between these (prayers).' (Sahih Muslim
444)
5. 'Five (daily) prayers and from one Friday
prayer to (next) Friday prayer, and from
Ramadan to Ramadan are expiations for the
(sins) committed in between (their
intervals) provided one shuns the major
sin.' (Sahih Muslim 450)
6. 'Whoever establishes the prayers on the
night of Qadr out of sincere faith and
hoping to attain Allaah's rewards (not to
show off) then all his past sins will be
forgiven.' (Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol. 1, Hadith
34)
7. 'Whoever establishes prayers during the
nights of Ramadan faithfully out of sincere
faith and hoping to attain Allah's rewards
(not for showing off), all his past sins will
be forgiven.' (Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol. 1,
Hadith 36)
8. 'Whoever observes fasts during the month
of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping
to attain Allaah's rewards, then all his past
sins will be forgiven.' (Sahih Al-Bukhari
Vol. 1, Hadith 37)
9. '(The performance of) 'Umra is an
expiation for the sins committed (between it
and the previous one). And the reward of
Hajj Mabrur (the one accepted by Allaah) is
nothing except Paradise.' (Sahih Al-Bukhari
Vol. 3, Hadith 1)
10. 'Say 'Amin' when the Imam says it and
if the Amin of any one of you coincides
with that of the angels then all his past sins
will be forgiven.' (Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol. 1,
Hadith 747, 748, 749)
11. 'When the Imam says, "Sami' a-l-lahu
Liman hamida," you should say,
"Allaahumma Rabbana laka-l-hamd." And
if the saying of any one of you coincides
with that of the angels, all his past sins will
be forgiven.' (Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol. 1,
Hadith 762)
11. 'Whosoever eats food and then prays:
“All thanks are for Allah who has fed me
this and provided it to me without my any
power or strength”, his previous sins are
forgiven for him.' (Sunan Tirmidhi, Sunan
Ibn Majah 3285. Imam Al Albani said the
Hadith is Hasan (sound)) |
