'If anyone performs ablution like that of mine and offers a two-rak'at prayer during which he does not think of anything else (not related to the present prayer) then his past sins will be forgiven.' (Sahih Al- Bukhari Vol. 1, Hadith 161) 2. 'If a man performs ablution perfectly and then offers the compulsory congregational prayer, Allah will forgive his sins committed between that (prayer) and the (next) prayer till he offers it.' (Sahih Al- Bukhari Vol. 1, Hadith 161) 3. 'When the time for a prescribed prayer comes, if any Muslim performs ablution well and offers his prayer with humility and bowing, it will be an expiation for his past sins, so long as he has not committed a major sin.' (Sahih Muslim 441) 4. 'A Muslim who purifies (himself ) and completes purification as enjoined upon him by Allaah and then offers the prayers, that will be expiations (of his sins he committed) between these (prayers).' (Sahih Muslim 444) 5. 'Five (daily) prayers and from one Friday prayer to (next) Friday prayer, and from Ramadan to Ramadan are expiations for the (sins) committed in between (their intervals) provided one shuns the major sin.' (Sahih Muslim 450) 6. 'Whoever establishes the prayers on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping to attain Allaah's rewards (not to show off) then all his past sins will be forgiven.' (Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol. 1, Hadith 34) 7. 'Whoever establishes prayers during the nights of Ramadan faithfully out of sincere faith and hoping to attain Allah's rewards (not for showing off), all his past sins will be forgiven.' (Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol. 1, Hadith 36) 8. 'Whoever observes fasts during the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping to attain Allaah's rewards, then all his past sins will be forgiven.' (Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol. 1, Hadith 37) 9. '(The performance of) 'Umra is an expiation for the sins committed (between it and the previous one). And the reward of Hajj Mabrur (the one accepted by Allaah) is nothing except Paradise.' (Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol. 3, Hadith 1) 10. 'Say 'Amin' when the Imam says it and if the Amin of any one of you coincides with that of the angels then all his past sins will be forgiven.' (Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol. 1, Hadith 747, 748, 749) 11. 'When the Imam says, "Sami' a-l-lahu Liman hamida," you should say, "Allaahumma Rabbana laka-l-hamd." And if the saying of any one of you coincides with that of the angels, all his past sins will be forgiven.' (Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol. 1, Hadith 762) 11.
