A middle-aged man was found dead in a lodging in Salgaa area, Nakuru County, after consuming second generation alcohol.

The man identified only as Kibet was said to have taken excess alcohol on Tuesday night and spent Wednesday asleep.

Police said he died in his sleep after vomiting.

According to witnesses, the man was a known drunkard who had been warned countless times by his parents.

His mother, who owns moonlight lodges and bar in Salgaa centre, lost consciousness after learning of Kibet’s death.
