Nigerian Honk For Hunger! Are They Truly Hungry? by oyinkinola: 12:14pm On Aug 13, 2016
It's a common slogan today in nigeria, 'no food on the table' everybody say we are hungry, are nigerian truly in hunger or is just slogan like other, used to embarrass the government?
Then if there is hunger today who to blame? are we warn? what is the causes? and the remedy.
Imf, world bank and other monetary institution reveal that nigerian, especially the poor...70% of the population live below poverty line...$1 = ₦400.
However, low income...₦400, love of $ lead to falling value of ₦, hereby hike the price of commodity, falling price of oil lead to low income revenue, cut in production of oil to nearly 2/3, cut in currency denomination to 1/3 in circulation, security threat that lead to insecurity of food product, all lead to inflation.
With ₦400 you can only buy a product worth ₦1,₦2,₦4,₦5,₦8 to have a fair price with out been cheated, with a product worth ₦3,₦6,₦7,₦9 you are cheated and if we have the least worth and active denomination in circulation equal or nearest to the least price product in the market, that the cheated amount will be minimal! 1polybag =₦1.40k; same thing happen to all products sell in 3 units per ₦5! so why ₦1 is not in circulation? and why ₦1 which is the official amount of our currency know to all the monetary institution and the base of our money known globally missing in circulation?
To ease the hardship and the effect of recession on poor, we must protected them against fraud and cheating of the most needed money in their wallet!
if the federal government can block the loop-hole in the national treasury, why can't we block the cheating in market by injecting the missing currency that open the wallet of poor for wicked marketers who milked them dry with a slogan(no change pls).
in cheating the market we are killing ₦5, if it's die, we will move to ₦10, sooner or later we will render ₦10 worthless and so on, and so on !
This must be stop to let the poor have exact value of the currency in wallet.
